What are the advantages of powder coating?
It provides a more durable finish than liquid paints can offer. It reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other wear issues. It’s tough than liquid paint, it’s longer lasting and more durable. Find out more about how we powder coat wheels.
Wheel Refurbishment
Are you looking to have those wheels refurbished? Are you finding the paint looks like there is UV damage, are there signs of cracks in the paint? Perhaps the paint is flaking or maybe there has been some kerb damage? Over time the rims can look dull and dim, making the vehicle appear to have less value.
Buckled Alloy Wheel Repair
Are you experiencing steering wheel vibration, uneven tyre wear, car handling issues, low tyre pressure or road noises louder than usual? It might be a sign your alloy wheel has hit a curb or been bent on a pothole. We offer a repair service for bent buckled alloys.
Wheel Straightening
If you are looking to have your wheels straightened due to them getting damaged we can offer that service for you here at Manchester Powder Coating. Fixing and repairing a bent alloy wheel can be done in a few hours or within a few days depending on the amount of damage and how many wheels need servicing.
In order for us to straighten the wheels we use techniques such as heating, tempering and hydraulic pressing. The heating techniques may cause the paint on the alloy wheels to melt off so bare this in mind as in some cases you might need the wheels powder coating again. Once done wheel can put the tyres back onto the alloy and wheel balance them or leave the tyres off depending on whichever choice you would like.
Alloy Wheel Welding
We can fix alloy wheel cracks with our welding technician if you are hearing different sounds when driving or hearing a noise coming from the tyre such as the air trying to escape it could be a sign you have a crack in the alloy wheel. Find out more about the process of welding an alloy wheel.
Calliper Painting
Are you tired of seeing worn and rusty callipers? Did you know tatty, old, and worn-out-looking ones show the age of the car and make the car look like it has less value? Painting wheel callipers can help increase the value of the vehicle as well as make the car look smarter. It can also help longevity by adding extra durability and rust prevention.
Diamond Cut Wheel Service
Diamond cut wheels are refurbished alloys with a shiny aluminium flat facing. Our CNC machine uses a calibration tool to map the size and dimensions of the wheel into the machine. Using tiny increments, the lathe shaves the face of the wheel into a high-shine flat surface. If you are looking to have the facing refinished, we’ve got your back.
