Wheel and Tyre Fitter

The role

This role requires participants to repair, conduct visual maintenance and replace tyres on cars, vans and trucks. This role requires someone with the ability to perform physical activity day today as manual labour is involved.

You are someone that likes to get stuck into everything from:

• Changing tyres
• Fixing punctures
• Adjusting wheel alignment
• Checking modern tyre pressure monitoring systems
• You are someone that loves cars and is all about helping customers

You’ll work with all kinds of makes and models of cars, carrying out inspections, identifying faults and fixing them efficiently and effectively. Powder Coater Operative

We are looking for an experienced Wheel Prepper and Powder Coater Operative. This is a permanent position for an experienced powder coater who knows how to prepare and refurbish wheels. The right candidate must have powder coating experience as the successful candidate will be refurbishing and powder coating wheels daily. The paint application uses a handheld spray gun to powder coat, this is not an automated track paint shop.

Duties Include

• Using a handheld sander to prepare the surface of metal wheels
• Loading and unloading the sandblaster
• Using a sandblaster to prepare alloy wheels
• Using a handheld spray gun for powder coat paint application
• Maximize oven usage throughout the day
• Housekeeping (keeping the workshop tidy and in order)
• Stock control
• Ability to read works orders and read visuals/drawings
• Work as part of a team
• This is a physically demanding job in a busy paint shop with a short turnaround time

Our services are either appointments booked in advance, either online or over via the phone, we are all about the customer and making sure their wheels are in the best condition possible.

From time to time you may be asked to work on projects with our sister company Auto Wrap Manchester such as wheel and tyre fitting.

• Skills & experience
• Ideally, experience in tyre fitting or a fast-fit role, however, training is available
• Desire to learn quickly and enthusiastically
• Full UK driving licence, preferable but not always essential
• Ability to get along with colleagues and customers alike
• Team player, committed to helping people
• A strong interest in, or passion for cars

Expectations consist of: being well prepared and ready to start work at 9 am, a willingness to learn, and maintaining high hygienic standards within the workplace.

• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of services to customer vehicles
• To maintain the cleanliness of the facility and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To comply with reasonable instruction of the Line Managers, Head Office

• Wear appropriate clothing and to maintain a smart personal appearance
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company
